This year, Halloween fell on a Saturday, but it was decidedly spooky all week long as the Verz Design team decided to scare themselves silly at the annual Halloween Horror Nights 2015!
Many squealed in excitement at the idea, while others cowered in fear of what was to come. The rest of us? We were just excited at the prospect of eating like hungry ghouls.
But nothing could prepare our stomachs for the horror that presented itself upon our wary walk into Universal Studios Sentosa, and the ‘rising of the Blood Moon’.
Minute after minute we were transported into different worlds of spookiness, each complete with convincing makeup and costume effects, with some of our team members succumbing to the claws of the monstrosities that lie within.
Some did their part in providing the thrill, some preferred to be thrill-seekers. There were a few who opted for a more musical approach to Halloween, which saw an orc taking the stage for what was an impressive set of music and dance.
Through the different haunted houses, scare zones and the many frightful actors that did their part in creating the atmosphere of chaos after the rising of the Blood Moon, we each found partners to hold on to for safety and assurance (although some were as easily scared as the other).
Despite some having expressed their concern about not being able to handle the Halloween event, they ended up defeating their fears. Some may have stumbled and fallen, but there was always someone else to pick them up.
After all, it’s all about team-work isn’t it? We rise up to the challenges that we face as they come our way, and even if we can’t handle it alone, someone is always there to help us along somehow.
The Blood Moon may have brought out some horrifying creatures from the dark of the night, but it definitely brought out the fun and energetic spirits of the Verz Team!
At Sentosa, the Verz team once again displayed their tenacity to play as hard as they work, and their knack for toppling any obstacles as they come.
Now that we’re back to business as usual, we’re more than ready to face any new challenges.
New clients, new projects? Bring it on!
