Saturday Club faced significant challenges with their previous platform, Magento, which was prone to reliability issues. These issues often caused disruptions across different markets, affecting customer experience and sales.

SOLUTION

Using Shopify Plus’ expansion store feature and site duplication capabilities, Saturday Club launched four international stores in less than five months on a unified back-end.

Website crashes under high traffic conditions

Additionally, concerns about website crashes under high traffic conditions added to the challenges, jeopardising sales and customer satisfaction.

SOLUTION

With the Shopify application programming interface (API), Saturday Club migrated seamlessly from Magento. The scalability of Shopify Plus also meant that they were able to handle peak traffic, ensuring no loss of sales during peak periods.

Restricted Payments to only credit cards

The limited payment solutions available on Magento restricted payments to only credit cards, hindering customer convenience and satisfaction.

SOLUTION

With the Shopify Plus Checkout Extensibility feature, Saturday Club also implemented new, additional third party payment gateway solutions to give customers in different international markets greater choice when buying items from the brand.
